AUSTRIAN POKER TOUR 40,000€: ROMAN DOHNÁNY DIDN'T GIVE ANYONE A CHANCE AND TAKES 8,313€!
The successful start of the Austrian Poker Tour at Banco Casino Bratislava culminated yesterday in the fifth, or more precisely the final day to which the 16 most successful players fought their way. The 40,000-strong guarantee ran over as 393 entries were made and the search for APT champion began yesterday. Who finally made it to the throne?
The final day started at half past four in the afternoon at Banco Casino Bratislava, when the players met at the poker tables and a tough fight for the final table began. The semifinals showed “stop” to Andrej Wenzl (16th), Ivan Jonášek (15th), Halard Grabner (14th), Michal Záborský (13th), Artur Witecki (12th), David Kazlov (11th) and Namani Albert, who finished right in front of the final table for 580€.
Nine of the most successful players of the Austrian Poker Tour made it to the final table, with Roman Dohnány as a massive chip leader.

The first to leave the final line-up was Martin Filo, when he failed to withstand with Ax Tx against Machalíks AxJx. Filo had to settle for a reward of 690€. Behind him, in the eighth place was Oliver Slávskovský, who performed well despite his inability to attend the tournament twice on time due his duties, but he still managed to take a great place, for which he won 830€.
The seventh place went to the Polish player Bartlomej Grabowski for 1,015€ and Patrick Moslinger finished sixth for 1,250€.
Another eliminated was Marián Lai, who, despite the difficult progress from the opening day with a stack of 35,500, managed to make it to the final day, where he started again with a 6-blind short stack. He managed to break the adversity and took home 1,550€ from the Austrian Poker Tour.
The remaining four players brought up debate about a possible deal. Word of mouth came up and an agreement was reached guaranteeing a certain reward for four players and overtime of 2,043€.

After this deal, the game was much more relaxed and Jakub Machalík took fourth place for 4,105€. The third place went to Oto Zviržina for 3,212€. Robert Herzog and a massive chip leader Roman Dohnány collided in a heads-up. It didn't take long, and the runner-up was known - Robert Herzeg, who took home 4,804€ for his performance.
Roman Dohnány became the historically first champion of the Austrian Poker Tour at Banco Casino Bratislava, performing a beautiful three-day start-to-finish show, remaining on the top spot after every day. Roman takes home a beautiful trophy and the biggest reward of 8,313€ from Banco Casino Bratislava, and only for a 110€ registration fee. Congratulations!
