Banco Casino awarded the first trophy of the Summer Polish Poker Cup yesterday, and it’s heading to England as Robert Oliver emerged victorious in the Deep Stack event, claiming a €6,325 prize. Meanwhile, the €250,000 GTD Main Event continued to send more players through to Day 2. The €250,000 guarantee of the Main Event is proving to be a huge draw for poker fans, especially with an affordable €140 buy-in. That’s been evident from the excellent turnout in the opening days. Yesterday featured two Day 1 flights, attracting a total of 226 entries, with 23 players bagging chips and securing their seats for Sunday’s Day 2. Today, the Main Event will offer three chances to qualify, starting at 12:00.

We also witnessed the first trophy presentation of the festival yesterday in the Deep Stack event. A total of 108 players joined the field, with a €250 buy-in generating a prize pool of €22,950, surpassing the guarantee. Robert Oliver from England claimed the win and walked away with €6,325. Today is expected to be buzzing at Banco Casino, as over 400 Polish players are due to arrive in Bratislava, promising a fantastic atmosphere and top-tier poker action. In addition to three Main Event flights, today will also crown the Ladies Event champion, as well as the "heavyweight" winner in the €20,000 GTD Super High Roller, with a €1,000 buy-in.

The Slovak Series of Poker has represented the Slovak National Poker Championship since 2016, when this prestigious brand was born. This year, the global poker community is eagerly awaiting the eighth edition at the start of September. A rich tournament schedule will include bracelet events, where winners not only take home significant prize money but also receive exclusive SSOP 2025 bracelets—symbols of poker excellence.
The festival will also name the SSOP 2025 Player of the Series, who will receive a "Golden Passport" worth over €3,000, securing entry to SSOP 2026.
The centerpiece of the series will be the SSOP Main Event €300,000 GTD, the biggest draw of the festival. A unique Chipleader Bonus worth €3,600 will be awarded in each starting flight (1A–1K), with the chip leader earning €2,100, the second place €900, and third place €600—paid out immediately after each flight ends.

Beyond the Main Event, the schedule includes high-stakes action with the €20,000 GTD NLH and PLO High Roller events (€1,000 buy-in), and other fan-favorite formats such as the Slovak Championships in Pot Limit Omaha, Deepstack, Freezeout, the €20,000 GTD Mystery Bounty, the Heads-Up Championship, and the Tag Team Championship—open to all poker fans.
