BANCO CASINO MASTERS XXIII: JOZEF KRAJAN CHAMPION LEAVING WITH 21,916€

The 23rd edition of the Banco Casino Masters met new poker champion, Jozef Krajan with 21,916€. Another very successful event from the Banco Casino brought players unforgettable moments, atmosphere, the glow of the spotlights and a prize pool greater than 140,000€.

The final day of the Banco Casino Masters, which recorded 825 entries with prize pool larger than 140,000€, kicked off from 4 p.m. The last 16 players set up their promotion chips and Vitor Hugo as the chip leader at the start of the day. With a stack of almost 5 million, Vitor was the leading member of the poker peloton nearing the finish line. The champion was waiting for a reward of 23,420€ and a ticket to the upcoming Banco Casino Masters, which will take place exactly one month from now on the August 26th, with prize pool of minimum of  100,000€!

The last two tables remained in the game, and the players had an important step ahead of them - to eliminate seven opponents in order to compile the final table. Paul Ryan, Michal Záborský, Peter Godány, Alenka Kochmanová, Milan Nižňanský, Željko Stevic gradually dropped out of the final day and the last one eliminated before the final table was Tomáš Staško.

Erik Suchý was the first one eliminated from the unofficial final table, after he dropped out; we met the official final table.

The first person to drop out of the official table was Alexander Jakab (2,801€), followed by Vlado Olešňan (3,813€) in seventh place, Vincent Mateyka (4,926€) in sixth place, Maroš Juriga (6,152€) finished the tournament in 5th place and fourth place went to chip leader Vitor Hugo (7,468€). Goran Stankovic left the tournament in third place with 9,434€.

After Stankovic elimination it was clear that the 23rd champion will be the home player and the title will remain in Slovakia. The remaining finalists Niko Kvasai with 15,000€ and Jozef Krajan with 18,225€ agreed on a deal and a follow-up final game of 3,691€. Niko Kvasai pulled for the shorter end in the heads up, and after an excellent performance dropped out in second place with a reward of  15,000€.

Jozef Krajan became the champion of the 23rd edition of the Banco Casino Masters, taking home 21,916€, a trophy and another prestigious title to his collection. Congratulations
