Swedish Poker Championships Return to Banco Bratislava – For the First Time with the Open Main Event Banco Championship €250,000 GTD!
After the tremendous success of previous editions, the Swedish Poker Championships are returning to their home base at Banco Bratislava, where the 4th edition of this popular international festival will take place from August 3rd to August 10th, 2026. Following last year’s impressive turnout, hundreds of players from Northern Europe are once again expected to travel to Slovakia’s capital, bringing with them a unique poker atmosphere.
The biggest novelty of this year’s edition will be the first-ever open Main Event, played under the name Banco Championship. The tournament will feature a €250,000 guaranteed prize pool with a €550 buy-in and will run from August 5th to August 10th, 2026. The open format is expected to attract an even larger player field to Bratislava, as the event will now be available to all poker enthusiasts, not just Swedish players.
In addition to the Main Event, players can look forward to a rich schedule of side events, which have always been an essential part of the festival and consistently attract massive participation. With a variety of formats and buy-ins, the schedule ensures that both recreational players and experienced tournament professionals will find the perfect game.
According to expectations, more than 350 players from Sweden will travel to Bratislava.
