During the past two days, a 1K Highroller took place at Banco Casino Bratislava with the largest buy-in that the poker community has ever had the opportunity to play. George Sandford won the prestigious title of champion of this tournament and took home a 12,179€ prize.

During a quiet Sunday afternoon, Banco Casino Bratislava hosted the second, and in the same time the final day of 1K Highroller with a 30,000€ guarantee. The guarantee was just a formality; 43 entries brought the prizepool up to almost 40,000€. In the first level of the second day players still could "jump" into the Highroller. After first level, Banco Casino announced the payout structure; first reward for first six players and 12,179€ for the champion of the elite. The busy "lineup" was clear; everyone wanted to win the title, trophy and a fairly big reward.

Home colors were defended by names such as Vlado Bednár, Alex Brosch, Marek Blaško, Gejza Takács, but none of them were able to make it to the final table. Only Palo Chalupka fought bravely and successfully. The final table was formed after eight o'clock and the chip leader at that moment was George Sandford.

The prestigious poker full of big names brought quality poker at the tables of Banco Casino Bratislava and certainly also a poker show, which was a pleasure to watch. The players pulled out all the weapons in the fight to win the title of 1K Highroller champion. Only six seats were paid, so three more players had to leave the final table without the compensation. Chris Bockman, Siegfried Rath and Nebo Ankucic; “unlucky” trio eliminated before paid positions. From that moment on, each of the participants had a certain reward of 2,359€. Chipleader George did not let go of the reins and went straight to the victory, which brought him a reward of 12,179€, a big trophy and the title of 1K Highroller champion at Banco Casino Bratislava!
