KAJO MASAROVIČ BECAME THE THIRD CROWN POKER FESTIVAL CHAMPION FOR 12,264€!

A beautiful and thrilling poker story was written by the second Crown Poker Festival Warm Up with a guaranteed prize pool of 50,000€. The second event culminated yesterday with the final day, where the ring and the biggest reward for the King Warm Up CPF were handed over!

The Warm Up Crown Poker Festival brought one of the largest entries to the last possible qualifying day in Banco Casino's poker history, when a 35,000€ surcharge turned into a fully raised guarantee. A total of 439 entries were recorded and a prize pool of 52,680€ was generated (3% went to staff), which was shared among the 45 best Warm Up participants. The winner was awarded with a luxury prize of 12,264€ and a gold ring worth of 1,800€. Everyone wanted to become a champion, but only one of the 74 advancers had the honor. Who?

It all started at two o'clock in the afternoon, when 74 promising Crown Poker Festival champions sat at the tables in the poker part of Banco Casino. After only two hours of play, Martina J. very unluckily found the horses and at the same time the opponent found the strongest preflop hand in the Texas No-Limit Hold'em poker. The river ace didn't change the fact that from now on everyone would be paid and the min-cash started at 281€.

Gradually, well-known names were eliminated from the tournament, including Jakub Fujerík (40th), Štefan Bugár (34th), Milan Kučera (32nd), Andrej Paška (31st), Samo Marušinec (30th), Marcel Novoroľník (27th), Dávid Urban (21st), Dominik Desset (20th), Patrik Kuník (19th), Miro Lelek (18th), Peter Hegeduš (17th), Marcel Papáč (16th), Martin Borik (15th), Dumbas (13th), Martin Bartoš (12th), Alenka Kochmanová (11th) and the last person to drop out before the final table was Marek Drozdík in tenth place.

The final table was set up just after 9 pm, and symbolically with this hour, nine players settled for the final table, where Miklos Ratusnyak held the chip lead.

Chipcount final table Warm-Up 50,000€ GTD CPF:

  • Seat 1: Koreň Peter - 430,000
  • Seat 2: Ratusnyak Miklos - 3,905,000
  • Seat 3: Červenka Martin - 350,000
  • Seat 4: Machalík Jakub - 2,585,000
  • Seat 5: Šedivý Matúš - 360,000
  • Seat 6: Kollár Gregor - 310,000
  • Seat 7: Masarovič Karol - 2,375,000
  • Seat 8: Sanetra Rafal - 2,055,000
  • Seat 9: Kvasai Nikolas - 800,000

In the first half hour of the final table, we witnessed three quick eliminations in the form of Gregor Kollár (lost coinflip), Peter Koreň (three-shot with AxJx to AxKx) and Šedivý's sevens were not enough for Miklos's queens.

Sixth place was also taken by the pre-flop all-in, in which Niko Kvasai pulled for a shorter end with a pair of nines when he hit the queen. Another queen on the board condemned Nika in sixth place for 1,661€. Martin Červenka took fifth place for 2,070€, after which there was a debate about the possibility of a deal. It did not work out and the game continued. Of the four remaining, Rafal Sanetra was eliminated from the final table for 2,708€.

At that moment, Kajo Masarovič was in a significant chip lead, followed by Miklos. The last was Jakub Machalík, who took home 4,497€ for third place and his work in the tournament.

The couple of Masarovič and Miklos fought their way into the heads-up. The duel between two gentlemen did not last long and we saw the famous all-in and call. Miklos turned the queen with an eight and his opponent Masarovič a couple of jacks. The board did not bring the queen and Miklos Ratusnyak took second place as a runner-up for 7,512€.

The champion of the WARM UP Crown Poker Festival with a guaranteed prize pool of 50,000€ became the home player Kajo Masarovič, who took home 12,264€ from Banco Casino Bratislava for his excellent performance and a gold ring intended only for the king of CPF. Congratulations!
