A total of 1,584 players registered for the Main Event of SPO, and the prize pool reached 338,580€. After a long day and an even more intense heads-up battle, the winner was Shlomo Kalderon, who took home 56,440€ after a deal during heads-up play and the subsequent finish. After an intense exchange of chips, Kalderon raised to 3,300,000 and Rapolti pushed his 10,000,000 with pocket eights. Kalderon snap-called with Qx Qx, and after the board came 5x 8x Ax 7x Kx, Kalderon first doubled up, and it seemed the tournament's conclusion was still far off. A few hands later, Rapolti completed, and Kalderon raised to 4,500,000. Rapolti called, and on the flop of Jx 8x 8x, Kalderon bet 3,500,000. Rapolti called, and on the turn 2c, Kalderon bet 4,500,000 again, forcing a fold from Rapolti. In the final hand, Rapolti completed, and Kalderon raised to 4,500,000. Rapolti decided it was time and moved all in for 12,000,000 with Th 7c. Kalderon thought for a few seconds and called with Jc Tc. After the board ran out 6d 9h 6s 9c 5d, Rapolti finished as the runner-up.
