SSOP – shortcut that has been used for 5 years and describes the only and pure Slovak poker festival. Festival, which attracts domestic players, but also poker enthusiasts from wide area to Banco Casino Bratislava every summer. Challenging year of 2020 was no exception; the casino managed to reward players with a fantastic festival, which even due to limitations and obstacles, ended up excellent!

According to the current situation in the world and the fact that the main tournament of the whole event had to be canceled due to restrictions, we witnessed a unique and successful event that attracted players from all over the world to Bratislava, including great names such as Fedor Holz, Rainer Kempe , Ludovic Geilich or Niall Farrell. Banco Casino Bratislava has clearly gained its place on the poker map of Europe, which we are really grateful for!

As usual, the two-week holiday has brought a wide range of poker tournaments in its busy schedule, where everyone found something for themselves. In addition to the 100k event or Highroller, you had a chance to witness or actively participate in the National Heads-Up Championship, PLO event, 6-max, PKO event or the unique H.O.R.S.E. an event that is a rarity in such tournaments.

During the two-week marathon, 12 major tournaments managed to produce an amazing 1,852 entries and redistribute more than 275,000€ to players! The biggest financial rewards were taken home by the champion and runner-up of the 100k event Mario Eder (20,104€) and Goran Hristovski (11,790€) together with the participants of the HU deal in Highroller - Leo Worthington-Leese and Evangelos Charalampous (14,378€ each). When we mention the name Leo Worthington-Leese, we cannot forget to mention another interesting fact, and that Leo Worthington-Leese became the first player in history to win two victories during one year of the SSOP (HU Championship + Highroller). Excellent job!
