DOMINIK DESSET FINISHED IN MAIN EVENT MPN POKER TOUR IN GREAT 4th PLACE FOR 13,200€
It all has to come to an end and the beautiful MPN Poker Tour event together with the Cash Game Festival had its last day at Banco Casino Bratislava yesterday. We can say for sure that the MPN Poker Tour was one of the best poker events in our country. Great atmosphere, many foreign players, big games, big pots and victories!
The MPN Poker Tour Main Event with a 164,500€ prize pool brought the final day; 13 players wanted to take control of the main tournament and take home 30,000€. Of course, all Slovak eyes rested on Dominik Desset, who was the last to defend the home scene and certainly did not let embarrass himself. Dominik showed a great game and brought his opponents to straits in almost every spot.
After two and a half hours of play, a final table was formed, which included home player Dominik Desset. Before the official start of the final table, the finalists were announced and the home player received the greatest applause from the audience.
Final table chipcount:
- Seat 1: Alex Hendriks - 2,182,000
- Seat 2: Andy Hills - 649,000
- Seat 3: Colin Guthrie - 1,329,000
- Seat 4: Jussi Mattila - 1,098,000
- Seat 5: Jiří Noga - 1,561,000
- Seat 6: Dominik Desset - 1,218,000
- Seat 7: Sebastian Rebhan - 746,000
- Seat 8: Daniel Camus - 410,000
- Seat 9: Johannes Park Skek - 686,000
Dominik fought with a large fan club and with all his strength, which was enough for an excellent fourth place. In the final hand, he sent the blind against the blind all-in with a jack and a nine, and on the big blind his opponent called with an ace and an eight. On the Qx Tx 7x Jx turn, it looked like a massive double up, but the river nine dashed all these hopes and sent Dominic Desset to the cashier for a 13,200€ prize. Congratulations on another great placement!
Immediately after the dismissal of Desset, there was a discussion about the possibility of dividing the Euros and gentlemen agreed immediately. To make the finish line interesting, the first eliminated took home 1,000€, the second 1,200€ and the winner had to add another 5,000€ to the "finalized" amount!
- Daniel Camus - 23,100€
- Alex Hendriks – 22,000€
- Jussi Mattila – 19,700€
The champion of the MPN Poker Tour Main Event with a 150,000€ GTD eventually became Alex Hendriks after a 3-way deal, who took home 27,000€ plus the biggest trophy of the event and a 5,000€ reward for the champion!
