SSOP OPENING EVENT: THE MASS OF THE POKER COMMUNITY CHASED AFTER A GOLD BRACELET - ROMAN OKOLOČÁNY NEW CHAMPION!
Great news for all poker enthusiasts - SLOVAK SERIES OF POKER started with Opening Event and we met the first champion of 2018 edition. The biggest poker festival has started and the whole poker community can look forward to a outstanding events in the largest poker casino in Slovakia at Banco Casino Bratislava in the upcoming days!
The opening event of the Slovak Series Of Poker 2018 called the Opening Event brought a very popular entry fee of only 55€ which attracted crowds of poker enthusiasts. A mass of poker players tried to win the gold bracelet from the opening tournament. Many familiar faces fought hard right from the beginning, but only one of them could enjoy winning "gold".
After completing the registration at the end of the eighth level, the number of entries to the Opening Event climbed to 196, which brought up the prize pool of the first SSOP tournament to a nice number of 9,800€. This moment also revealed the payout structure, in which for the first champion of the SSOP 2018 a reward of 2,167€ was waiting, while 20 players had to get into the ITM.
In the end, 21 players reached to the paid positions, as before the hand for hand phase, the players agreed that the 21st place will also be rewarded with 60€. After "bursting" the bubble, it did not take long and a final table was formed, on which the well-known Santa held the chip lead:

The final table lasted exactly three hours and the first champion became Roman Okoličány, who managed a heads-up match with Peter Ralbovský. Roman left with prize of 2,167€ and the first Slovak Series Of Poker 2018 bracelet worth of 3,000€ from the Opening Event. Congratulations!
