20.000€ FOR WINNER

Flight 1A of the tournament GRAND POKER CUP vol. VII recorded 68 entries, and 7 players advanced to the Final Day. The chipleader from this flight is Hermanovský Štefan with a stack of 1,168,000.
Another flight 1B is ready for you today at 18:00!

04:15 Limper as a "bubble-boy"

In the very last hand of today’s flight, action started with Mravec opening to 40K, followed by calls from Hermanovský and Fedor. The action ended with Limper in the BB shoving 296K. Hermanovský immediately called with pocket JJ, which Limper didn’t like to see with his pocket 77. The board didn’t bring the outs Limper needed, and we now have our first qualifiers for the Final Day.

Limper:7♦7♥

Hermanovský: J♣J♦

Board: 8♠5♠3♠8♣T♠

Who will be the infamous "bubble-boy"?

04:10 Martinček is out

Martinček found a pocket JJ and shoved his stack, hoping for a double-up. However, Hermanovský on the SB held pocket QQ and made an easy call. After a numeric board, Martinček was eliminated from the tournament in 8th place.

04:00 Szatmari ends

Soon after, Szatmári finished the tournament, failing to get past Limper a second time. This time his Q7o couldn’t hold in a preflop all-in against Limper’s A6o, and the board K2A59 sealed his elimination.

03:55 Szatmari short

Szatmári shoved from the SB into Limper on the BB, who called with QJ. Szatmári showed AT and had the initial edge, but the board brought Limper trips with Q, doubling his 74K stack. Szatmári dropped down to a 100K short stack.

Szatmari: AT

Limper: QJo

Board: 2KQQ9

Level 18: 8000 - 16 000 / 16 000, avg. 340,000, ent.: 10/68

03:45 Limper falls on shortstack

After Szatmari completed from SB, Limper decided to squeeze with 34o. However, Szatmari showed his AJs and after the board that brought J, Szatmari doubled his stack and Limper fell on short with 90K.

Szatmari: AJs

Limper: 34o

Board: 85J49

03:40 Lovasz out of the game

After Čerep opened to 25K, Majlo shoved his 250K stack from the SB. Lovasz on the BB was ready with pocket queens and snap-called, pushing Čerep out of the hand. But it was Majlo who got lucky, completing a straight with his AJo.

Majlo: AJo

Lovasz: QQ

Board: T8794

Players are waiting for the right hands, as a series of open-folds continues.

03:10 Minárik out

He finishes his journey on the tournament in a preflop all-in with his short stack and A9o against Hermanovský’s pocket QQ. The safe board kept Hermanovský comfortable as he boosted his stack by 100K.

Minárik: A9o

Hermanovský: QQ

Board: 9J487

02:55 Gajdoš refuses to end

He got into a preflop all-in against Hermanovský, holding QTo against KJo. Luck was on his side on the flop as he hit a Q, and neither the turn nor river changed a thing, giving him a double-up with his 45K short stack.

Gajdoš: QTo

Hermanovský: KJo

Board: 92Q94

02:45 Szabo out

In his final hand, Szabo shoved his short stack of 89K and found an opponent in Čerep. Both players held pairs, but Čerep’s pocket TT dominated Szabo’s 33. The board ran out without Szabo’s two-outer — instead giving Čerep a set — and Szabo’s tournament came to an end.

Szabo: 33

Čerep: TT

Board: 78KTA

Level 16: 5000 - 10 000 / 10 000, avg. 261,538, ent.: 13/68

02:35 Minárik big double-up

Martinček found himself in a preflop all-in clash that didn’t go his way. After Minárik opened to 16K, Gajdoš called from the SB, and Martinček in the BB shoved his 400K+ stack. Minárik snap-called, forcing Gajdoš out of the hand. At showdown, Minárik showed AKo against Martinček’s AQo. The board brought an Ace for both, but once again the kicker decided in Minárik’s favor and Martinček shipped 162K from his stack towards Minárk.

Minárik: AKo

Martinček: AQo

Board: A39J3

02:25 Gajdoš tried to eliminate

After Gajdoš opened to 15K, Szabo on the SB decided to squeeze with his 55K stack. Gajdoš made the call and showed 93 offsuit, but ran straight into Szabo’s pocket AA. No miracle arrived on the 74QJ8 board, and Szabo doubled his stack at Gajdoš’s expense.

Gajdoš: 93o

Szabo: AA

Board: 74QJ8

02:15 Szatmari steals on the river

Four players went to the flop after a 16K preflop entry fee. The flop came 732 rainbow, and Szabo led out from UTG for 16K, getting calls from Gajdoš and Szatmári on the BB. The turn brought another 3 and action slowed down, continuing the same way on the river 3 after two checks. Szatmári then shoved, and with no callers, he scooped the pot.

Level 15: 4000 - 8000 / 8000, avg. 226,667, ent.: 15/68

01:55 Lucky river for Limper

Limper opened to 12K and Gajdoš defended from the SB. Both saw a 949 flop, which was checked through, and action resumed on the turn J, where Limper bet 17K and Gajdoš quickly called. The river brought a crucial 10 for Limper, completing his second pair with JTo against Gajdoš’s AJo. Limper took full advantage, extracting another 21K, which Gajdoš called willingly. After the showdown, Gajdoš wasn’t thrilled as the chips went to Limper.

Limper: JTo

Gajdoš: AJo

01:40 Haľko out

After series of folds, Haľko on SB completes and Gajdoš shoves his stack. Haľko called after a while and showed KQo vs A8o on Gajdoš hands. Board 8A69T decided that Haľko finished on 17. place.

01:20 Haľko with pocket QQ

Slavik started the action with 10K bet, with Szatmári and Haľko calling. The flop J5K and the turn 4 were checked by all players. On the river 2, the action heated up: Haľko bet 5K, Slavik raised to 15K, and after Szatmári folded and Haľko moved all-in. Slavik wasn’t feeling like calling and folded, and Haľko face up shows pocket QQ.

01:10 Another set

Martinček continues to build his stack, aided by his sets. In the next hand, he faced Limper and extracted a hefty sum. On a 396 rainbow flop, Martinček hit another set with his pocket 33, and the pot gradually grew until the river. Limper paired an Ace with A7 offsuit and, after Martinček’s 10K bet, he raised to 40K — Martinček made call with his set. Limper’s stack took a serious hit, dropping him to a short stack.

Level 13: 2500 - 5000 / 5000, avg. 188,889, ent.: 18/68

00:55 Meety ends

In his final hand of the tournament, he opened to 8K and found a caller in Martinček. Both saw a J74 rainbow flop, where Meety c-bet 14K and Martinček called. On the turn K, Meety fired a second barrel of 36K, again called by Martinček. The river A brought a 65K squeeze from Meety, which Martinček snap-called with a set of 44. Meety showed 98s and was eliminated from the tournament.

Meety: 98s

Martinček: 44

Board: J74KA

00:50 Slavik unlucky vs Gajdoš

Meanwhile, Gajdoš had dropped significantly in chips and needed to win some back. On a 947 rainbow flop with 20K in pot, he faced a 11K bet from Slavik, which Gajdoš raised to 30K. Slavik responded with an all-in, and Gajdoš called without hesitation. Gajdoš showed 94o against Slavik’s pocket tens. Although Slavik was already behind, Gajdoš hit a full house on the turn 9, and the river didn’t help Slavik either, allowing Gajdoš to double up.

Gajdoš: 94o

Slávik:55

Board: 9479J

00:35 Rubi out

Action waited for Majlo on the BTN who opened to 8K, but Rubi on the SB was ready to shove his 65K stack. Majlo snap-called, and it was Rubi’s pocket 55 against Majlo’s AKo. This time the pocket pair didn’t hold, as Majlo hit the board 2QQK8. Rubi didn’t make it from Flight 1A to the Final Day, handing his 65K stack over to Majlo.

Majlo: AKo

Rubi: 55

Board: 2QQK8

00:20 Split pot

Martinček tried to claw some additional chips, opening UTG to 6K. Szatmári called, but Meety on the BTN shoved his 31K stack, and Gajdoš on the BB called along with Szatmári. The board ran out T49J checked to the river K, where Gajdoš bet 25K, Szatmári responded with a squeeze, and Gajdoš folded. Meety showed AQo, Szatmári with the same hand, and surprisingly Gajdoš was pushed away with AK. The pot was thus splitted between Meety and Szatmári.

Meety: AQo

Szatmari: AQo

Board: T49JK

00:10 Martinček slowly builds his stack

Gajdoš opened UTG to 6K, Martinček joined in, and Haľko defended from the BB. The flop came QJ6, Gajdoš checked, and Martinček fired 7.5K, which only Gajdoš called. Action slowed on the turn K as both players checked, and on the river 2, Gajdoš checked again. Martinček took his chance and bet 12K but got no value, as Gajdoš folded.

Both players checked the turn 8 and the river Q. At showdown, both held an Ace, but Martinček was ahead with a King kicker versus Rubi’s Ten, taking down the 50K pot.

23:05 Minárik out

From UTG+1, Vadasz opened to 11K, Minárik shoved his 12K stack, and Lovasz came along with the call. The board ran out 9♠8♣3♠7♦4♠ and was checked down by both Vadasz and Lovasz. At showdown, Vadasz was best with T♣9♣ against Minárik’s KQo and Lovasz’s pocket 66. Minárik couldn’t find the triple-up and was eliminated from the tournament.

22:45 Gajdoš continues to fill the report page

Right in the very next hand, Čerep moved all-in preflop with KKo, running into Gajdoš with AQo. This time Gajdoš was the underdog, and the board 3Q6T5 brought no help. From his nearly 250K stack he shipped just 39K over to Čerep, who doubled up and climbed close to the average stack.

Gajdoš: AQo

Čerep: KK

Board: 3Q6T5

22:35 Cracked AA

Gajdoš opened preflop to 5K, but Sadovyi wasn’t letting him see a flop so easily, raising to 12K, which Gajdoš called. The flop came K♥8♣6♥ and action exploded — Gajdoš checked, Sadovyi fired 12K, Gajdoš 3-bet to 35K, only to face a 4-bet shove from Sadovyi. Gajdoš called, showing 9♥3♥, while Sadovyi revealed his A♥A♦. The turn 4♥ completed Gajdoš’s flush, though Sadovyi still had his chance with the nut flush draw. The river bricked, meaning Gajdos doubled his 120K stack, while Sadovyi was left on the short stack.

22:20 Hermanovský double-up

Sadovyi: AJo

Board: T9588

22:10 Gajdoš in the tank

Hermanovský opened fo 3,200 preflop and found three callers — Pavúk, Limper, and Gajdoš. The flop came K33, checked by Hermanovský, and Pavúk seized the spot with a 10K bet, getting action only from Gajdoš. The turn 9 went check-check, but on the river another king landed, and Pavúk squeezed out all-in for 41K. Gajdoš went deep into the tank, and after the time was called on him, he eventually folded his hand and shook his head.

21:50 Pavúk gives up

After Sandl limped, Limper raised to 4,700, and both Pavúk and Sandl called. The flop came T♠3♦2♠ and was checked all the way to Limper, who fired a c-bet of 6,300. That was enough to push Sandl out, leaving Pavúk to see the turn K♣. Limper fired a second barrel for 12.2K, which Pavúk called once more. On the river 3♥, Limper launched a third barrel of 31K, finally forcing Pavúk to fold. Limper counts his chips.

21:35 Majlo eliminates

The hand kicked off with the main protagonist opening to 2.5K, Rubi made the call, but Medvec came in with a raise to 10K. Action back on Majlo, who moved all-in for an effective 40K against Medvec’s stack. Rubi got out of the way, and Medvec snap-called with QQ against Majlo’s suited AK. This time the queens didn’t hold, as the board ran out T-8-K-6-A, sending Medvec to the rail.

21:15 Double seat open

Pre-flop action was started by Tobias, who shoved his short stack 9300, followed by Hascak and Sandl, who called. On the flop T56, Sandl acted first, firing 10K, only to face an all-in from Hascak. Sandl snap-called and showed a set of sixes. Hascak was behind with pocket 99, just like Tobias holding ATo. Neither the turn Q nor the river 3 changed a thing. Sandl takes a nice pot and Hascak together with Tobias leave tournament.

Marhefka opens 3,5K which was called by Niepsuj and Taxis. Flop QT8—decision on Taxis who checks and waited for oponents move. Marhefka c-bets for 5K, which was called only by Taxis. Turn K Taxis decides for an aggressive move and shoves his stack. Marhefka folded after a while and showed a pair of JJ that was slightly better than Taxis's hand of T♦9♦.

20:15 Gajdoš takes another huge pot

After pre-flop raise from Onda the only player that joins him to the flop was Gajdoš. Flop K♥Q♥9♣ was checked by both players. Turn T♠ Gajdoš bets for 6k, which Onda raises to 12K. Gajdoš 3-bet shoves which Onda snap calls. Both players show AJ but the river 8♥ decided that Gajdoš completes his flush with AJs and Onda handed his 70K stack to Gajdoš.

Gajdoš: A♥J♥

Onda: AJo

Board: K♥Q♥9♣T♠8♥

20:05 Kepic loses a bit

After Orosz opened the game for 2,5K, two players called, including Kot and Kepic from BB. On the flop T♥J♣3♣ Orosz c-bets for 3k and both players called. Turn 4♥ was checked by all players, however, turn 6♠ Orosz asks for 6,5K that only Kepic called. Orosz shows J♠7♠, which was enough, and Kepic mucks his hand.

Level 5: 400 - 800 / 800, avg. 61,842, ent.: 38/47

19:50 Big pot for Gajdoš

In this game, 5 players got on the flop after Gajdoš raised to 2K from CO. After flop 4♥7♣5♥ the first player that started action was Rubi with his 4K bet, followed by call from Hermanovsky. However Gajdoš decided to raise for 15K and only Hermanovsky called. Turn Q♣ Hermanovsky check-calls 15k. River A slowed the action and after checks from both players Gajdoš shows pair of 88. After that Hermanovsky mucked his cards and Gajdoš takes a big pot.

19:40 Kicker problem

In this game, Merta and Lovasz get to the flop with KKJ. After slower start and check from both players, action started on turn 2, when Merta bet 2500 which was called by Lovasz. They eventually ended in all-in on the river of 3. Even though both players hit their trips, Lovasz´s kicker was not enough against Merta´s Q so he doubled his 45K stack.

19:20 Mravec in the bad spot again

In the pre-flop all-in, Mravec with AKo bumped into Niepsuj's AA. The board 67465 didn´t help Mravec and he loses  36K of his chips. Niepsuj doubles his stack.

Orosz carefully checked the river 2 but Kot asks for a 5K, his wish was granted, and Orosz handed him the chips. Kot shows AJ which is enough against Orosz´s Tx.

Orosz: Tx

Kot: AJ

Board: TA982

19:05 Pay if you want to play

Niepsuj with an unconventional open to 5500 from UTG found his opponent only on BB with a defend from Sadovyi. The Q27 flop didn't impress Sadovyi, as he folded his cards after the same bet from Niepsuj on the flop.

Level 3: 200 - 500 / 500, avg. 56,897, ent.: 29/33

18:45 Hanzen forced him to fold

Merta decided to open the game with a bet of 2.5k. He found his opponent on the SB in Lovasz, and Hanzen calls from UTG as well. After flop 8♣J♦2♣, Hanzen check-calls Merta's 3k bet. Turn 4♣ Hanzen check-raises Merta's bet of 4,300 to 10,700, which has already convinced him, and face-up folds AJ.

18:40 Mravec for reentry.

Mravec got in the game with his last 200 chips, along with Hermanovsky and Trembecki. On the flop of 23Q, Hermanovsky starts the action for 2K which Trembecki calls. The turn brought the A, and Hermanovsky's bet of 2K again, which Trembecki raised to 5.8K. On the river J Hermanovsky barrels again for 5K, but Trembecki responds with another raise to 10K, and Hermanovsky calls. In the showdown, Trembecki dominated hands of his opponents with A4 against Hermanovsky's QT and 56 on Mravec hand.

The river A raises the pot a bit again after Hermanovsky bets 5k and another call from Niepsuj. Hermanovsky shows AQ and Niepsuj just shows a face-up A and fold his hand.

18:10 Mihaľo tried to get some more chips

He min-raises from an early position and receives a call from Lovasz on BB. The flop of K83 was checked, and so was the turn of 6. The second 3 on the river decided that Lovasz would bet for 1K, but Mihalo tried to ask for some more chips and raises to 6K. However, Lovasz was not interested.
